New Horizon Pan Canadian projects

The New Horizons Pan-Canadian grants and contributions support innovative projects that create a significant impact in communities and invest in large initiatives that meet the growing social needs of seniors. The Pan-Canadian 2015-2016 call for proposals focused on projects that help to reduce social isolation among seniors. Nine projects across Canada received three years funding.

In October 2018, a workshop was held at the Canadian Association on Gerontology annual conference, showcasing these projects, preceded by an introduction to the New Horizons Program and Collective Impact:

Reducing Seniors’ Social Isolation Through Collective Impact: A Cross Canada Forum
Nanaimo Seniors Connect
Vancouver Allies in Aging
Edmonton PEGASIS
Saskatchewan RISC
Hamilton Seniors Isolation Impact Plan
Toronto ENRICHES
Ottawa Keeping Ottawa Seniors Connected
Montreal Caregivers Collective
Québec City Collectif aînés isolement social
